It's time for a North Carolina wine and chocolate pairing on this week's #TastingThursday! We try a riesling from Childress Vineyards and a milk chocolate bar from Black Mountain Chocolate.
This week, Alec and Amanda from the team at Ekos are tasting a riesling wine from Childress Vineyards in Lexington, NC and a milk chocolate bar from Black Mountain Chocolate out of Winston-Salem, NC.
The riesling we tasted was deliciously off-dry and crisp with floral aromas and notes of peach. Moving on to the chocolate, this bar is unconventional as far as milk chocolate goes. Goat's milk gives it an unexpected tanginess, and the high cacao content (53%) makes this bar great for the true chocolate lovers out there.
Have you tried either of these great NC products? What's your favorite wine and chocolate pairing? Let us know in the comments!
