Craftlab: The Podcast Episode 13 With Kevin McGee, Anderson Valley Brewing Co.

Welcome to season two of Craftlab: The Podcast! This season, we’re sharing the stories of our customers and friends in the industry from our annual users conference, Ekos_Con. Our guests shared too much valuable information to keep it to ourselves.

In this episode, CEO of Anderson Valley Brewing Co. Kevin McGee talks through changes to Anderson Valley’s brand since he took the reins in 2019. When Kevin took over, his goals were to empower growth and emphasize sustainability in the brewery’s day-to-day operations and brand identity. “It’s something that permeates the brewery — sustainability and just being a good steward of the community,” Kevin said. As CEO and President of Anderson Valley, Kevin says he’s always looking for ways the brewery can be more sustainable by tracking the environmental impact of the business’s choices.

About Anderson Valley Brewing Co.: When Anderson Valley Brewing Co. was founded in 1987, it was one of 20 craft breweries in the United States and operated out of a 10-barrel brewhouse in Boonville, California. Today, the brewery boasts a 26-acre property with a 100-barrel brewhouse, tasting room, beer garden, and the first 18-hole disc golf course built at a brewery.

In addition to pioneering the craft beer industry, Anderson Valley is also the first solar-powered brewery in the world. The brewery leads initiatives in power, water, nitrogen generation, waste handling, and packaging to incorporate sustainability in every aspect of its business.
