Prision Pals Brewing plans for growth using Ekos

Miami-area brewery will use Ekos’s production, inventory and accounting features to expand and open its first taproom

DORAL, FLA. (January 27, 2022) — Argentinian-owned Prision Pals Brewing Co. is enlisting Ekos, the leading business management software for craft beverage businesses, as a key partner in its plans for growth — including a new taproom in the Miami area.

Prision Pals, which started brewing in March 2021, is the passion-project-turned-job of Juan Pipkin, Diego Setti and Bruno Laperchuk, who are all from South America. Juan dreamt of a U.S.-based business from his home of Argentina in 2019, and he eventually settled on making beer “because beer brings joy and makes people happy,” per the Prision Pals website. Now, the team makes Argentinian-inspired brews for the Miami area.

As Prision Pals entered its second year of business, it was looking for a tech solution to help optimize processes, save time and spur growth. The team selected Ekos, an end-to-end business management software created specifically for craft beverage producers. One in five breweries in the U.S. use the platform to help their businesses across production, inventory, sales and accounting.

“Ekos is the most complete software solution to help with the administration of the brewery,” Brewmaster Diego said. “We are just three partners and we are very new in the U.S. market, so we need solid tools to support us and help us grow.”

The Prision Pals team will utilize Ekos specifically to solidify the brewery’s production schedule, gain control over their inventory and simplify their reporting. The brewhouse-only brewery also has plans to open a taproom of its own this year, and Diego expects Ekos to be a “key partner” in the process.

“Ekos’s purpose is to support craft beverage producers in every stage of growth — from the new spot up the street to the well-established brewer downtown,” CEO Josh McKinney said. “We’re excited to work with up-and-coming brewery Prision Pals and see what they accomplish as the business expands and gains a taproom this year,” CEO Josh McKinney said. “
