On this week's Tip Tuesday, we take a look at how to use the Knowledge Base in Ekos.
Today’s tip is about managing your purchases from vendors across multiple shipments. By using the purchase order feature in Ekos, you can create one order that includes everything you’ll be receiving over the coming delivery days, and update as you receive each shipment.
As these partial shipments are delivered, an inventory receipt can be created for each delivery so the goods you receive can be placed into inventory for your team to use.
As you create inventory receipts, the purchase order will automatically update, allowing you to see what quantity has been ordered versus what has been received.
While purchase orders are not a mandatory part of Ekos, they are useful when handling orders across multiple delivery dates.
You can choose to use purchase orders for some vendors and not for others to fit your specific needs.
