Quality Assurance Specialist

Ekos is on a mission to empower craft manufactures all over the world to scale their business, streamline their processes, and optimize their teams. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to help identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards. This full-time, permanent position reports to the CEO.

What you'd be doing:

·     Review Requirements, Specifications, and Technical Design Documents to provide timely and meaning full feedback

·     Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases

·     Estimate, Prioritize, Plan, and Coordinate testing activities

·     Design, Develop, and Execute Automation Scripts using open source tools

·     Identify, Record, and Thoroughly Document any bugs that are found

·     Perform Regression Testing when bugs are resolved and before release deployments

·     Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs

·     Partner with internal teams to understand requirements for upcoming sprints

·     Track Quality Assurance Metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts to report to the CEO and CTO

·     Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

·     Complete other duties as needed

What we'd like to see:

·     BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related experience

·     Experience in software development andsoftware quality assurance

·     Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

·     Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases

·     Experience working in an Agile environment

·     Experience with development related tools such as MS SQL Server, JIRA, and ZenDesk

·     SQL Experience

·     Detail-oriented, results-driven

·     Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

·     Effective verbal, written, listening, and communication skills

·     Excellence in utilizing technology, computers, and current software solutions

·     Must be able to work from office located in Charlotte, NC
