key benefits

  • Save 2+ hours per week by eliminating manual reconciliation
  • Automate ecommerce inventory depletion and journal entry creation
  • Allocate inventory to your ecommerce channel automatically
  • Gain better business visibility with tracking of tax-paid inventory

With the Shopify integration for Ekos, you can eliminate manual processes and duplicate entries while gaining complete visibility into key metrics that help you focus on growing your business. Ekos integrates with Shopify as well as with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Xero so you can run your business seamlessly by reducing manual bookkeeping of ecommerce transactions with your accounting system.

When you integrate Ekos with Shopify and your accounting software, you no longer need to pull manual sales reports to deplete inventory and create journal entries or spend time manually adding inventory to your ecommerce platform. Instead, you can keep your systems in sync with an integration that works both ways.

Ekos and Shopify work together to keep your storefront stocked and inventory up to date. Once sales go through, the integration will automatically send your end-of-business-day sales transactions to Ekos. Ekos immediately depletes your packaged product and merchandise inventory so you can plan future production. Ekos also automatically posts the invoice for daily sales and a daily journal entry to maintain up-to-date Cost of Goods Sold, taxes owed, discounts, payments received from customers, and refunds given during the day.

Ekos & Shopify Integration FAQs

How does the integration work?

Throughout the day, your ecommerce site keeps track of transactions from online orders. Inventory allocated to Shopify in Ekos or depleted due to sales will be synced between the platforms. The sync occurs once each day.

When should my business connect Ekos to Shopify?

You can add the integration to your Ekos subscription at any time, and it will be turned on once your team has completed onboarding and implementation of Ekos. Once integrated, all sales transactions in the ecommerce site will sync to Ekos and the inventory you allocate in Ekos will sync to Shopify.

How do I set up the integration?

The Ekos team must enable the Shopify integration in your site after you have officially added it to your Ekos subscription. Reach out to the sales team below to get pricing!
