Ekos launches Craftlab: The Podcast

Podcast showcases stories of craft business owners and their best business advice

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 23, 2022) — Running a business is not for the faint-hearted. It requires dedication, determination, flexibility and a lot of hard work. As the craft beverage industry has exploded over the past decade, there is no shortage of stories from business owners who have navigated challenges and found success. Ekos CEO Josh McKinney had the vision to connect with this community and share these stories with the world, which is the inspiration for the new podcast launching today.

Ekos, the leading business management platform for craft beverage businesses, has launched Craftlab: The Podcast to highlight craft business owners, their journeys to success and lessons learned along the way.

The podcast is an extension of the Craftlab educational site that Ekos launched in March of 2021. The goal of Craftlab is to provide thought leadership content, business best practices, and actionable advice and insights specifically for brewery, winery and cidery owners.

Craftlab: The Podcast is hosted by Ekos CEO Josh McKinney. Josh brings his own experience as an entrepreneur to conversations with industry leaders and dives deep on their backgrounds, how they got into the beverage industry and advice they have for others. In the first few episodes, Josh interviews:

  • Todd Ford, co-founder of NoDa Brewing, one of Charlotte’s oldest and largest breweries
  • Josh Hare, founder of Hops & Grain, one of Austin’s most well-known breweries
  • Doug Constantiner, co-founder and CEO of Societe Brewing Company in San Diego

“We are so excited to launch Craftlab: The Podcast. I’ve had the pleasure getting to know many talented, hard-working, and intelligent business owners over the past eight years. It is exhilarating to sit down with them to discuss how they got where they are today,” said Ekos CEO and Craftlab podcast host, Josh McKinney. “It is thrilling to be able to share these stories from the craft community and I hope that our listeners take away valuable lessons about how to start and grow a thriving business.”

New episodes launch each Wednesday and are available on all podcast platforms. To learn more, visit www.goekos.com/craftlab/craftlab-the-podcast.
