CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Aug 16, 2022) — Ekos was recognized on the 2022 Inc. 5000 list of North America’s fastest growing private companies. The company’s growth, 140% from 2018 to 2021, earned Ekos spot #3,639 on this year’s list.
Ekos is the only end-to-end business management solution for breweries, wineries, and cideries. Its all-in-one platform helps producers keep their inventory, production, sales, and accounting data bound together. To further help producers grow and organize their business, Ekos integrates with accounting, POS, and ecommerce systems like QuickBooks, Square, and Shopify.
“It’s an honor to earn a spot on the Inc. 5000 among so many innovative, successful companies for the second year in a row,” said Ekos CEO Josh McKinney. “Our primary purpose is to empower our customers to run their businesses better, and this recognition is a testament to the work our team puts into that mission day in and day out.”
A lot has changed at Ekos since last year’s Inc. 5000 was announced. In December, the team secured a $21 million Series B funding round led by Catalyst Investors and assisted by existing investors Noro-Moseley Partners. The funding came as Ekos rounded out 2021, its most successful year ever, with exceptional revenue growth and the launch of Ekos Order Hub, a digital sales portal.
The team has also launched an impressive body of platform improvements, including:
- Ekos Boost, a more modern and intuitive Ekos platform
- A reimagined wine experience to help winemakers track wine lots and make the best quality wine
- A new integration with ecommerce platform Shopify
- Improvements to platform speed and usability through bulk inventory transfers, QuickBooks improvements, and more.
Ekos also launched a wealth of knowledge into the craft beverage world with the introduction of Craftlab: The Podcast. Plus, the company earned recognition in multiple “top” lists in the last year including Charlotte Business Journal’s Best Places to Work and Business NC’s Best Employers in North Carolina.
